GSU Members’ Meeting Tomorrow at 6pm!

GSU members mtgWhen: Wednesday (tomorrow!) from 6 pm to 8 pm

Where: University Church, located at 57th and University Ave. in Hyde Park.

What: It’s time for GSU’s quarterly members’ meeting, where members new and old come to break bread, discuss what GSU has been up to, and make plans about how to go forward.

This year, GSU is embarking on a member-led process to build a platform for our member-led union. The platform is an opportunity to generate ideas and collective decisions about how to move forward — what issues matter to grad students, and what we can fight for with or without legal recognition. It is also a tool to articulate what GSU stands for, express the range of what our members care about, and think about our priorities.

The meeting will be geared around rotating breakout groups for different platform-points (e.g., healthcare, wages), giving folks an opportunity to learn about different issues, contribute ideas and input, and come up with concrete steps forward. And of course, there will be beer, hot food, and good conversation!
